Hello
everyone,
This time I
will try to keep it short, at least commensurate with the length of the spring
break we had. As some of you know, I was fortunate enough to spend it with my
loved one, Alina in Santander, Cantabria (for those of you that still haven’t
figured it out, yes, in Spain:))
All in all,
I can say that we had a great time. Took many long walks in the city, saw the
ocean (apparently for the second time in my life since the coast of Norway also
seems to count), did many cool spontaneous things and managed to at least
partially recharge those batteries... plus I am glad to have had the chance to maintain
a closer contact with friends and family for however short a time… it seems
that physical proximity (and cheaper rates for EU-EU phone calls:)) still
matters in today’s world, after all.
The most
important thing for us was to be together, which we managed quite
successfully;) My coolest experience was witnessing the booming social life the
citizens of Santander
appear to have: instead of staying at home watching their TV-s or browsing
their internet; Santanderians (I’m gonna make it a thing) hang out with their
real-life friends instead. And this applies to every age group from the very
young to the very old! Kudos,
Spain, I hope
you have some more such pleasant surprises in store for us in May…
Overall, it
seems that our good old Europe still has a
thing for me and I think I can safely say that it’s mutual!:)
A part of the story in pictures:
You are so beautiful together! I miss you both! Have a great experience wherever you choose to live :)
