I know it is very late
but still decided to start my return to the online world with a(n incredibly
short) short summer overview. The most important part of it, not surprisingly,
was our wedding. To be more accurate, all three of them. Being aware of the
subjectivity of such matters, I still maintain that we had the best wedding and
honeymoon of all time, mostly thanks to the great people that shared these
wonderful moments with us. I think you can attest that it was indeed very
special. Thank you all!
Generally speaking, it
was great to be home. I had time for everything I wanted to do including reading,
creative writing, finally sorting all my stuff and throwing a lot away (300 kg/660
pounds of paper alone). And most importantly, hanging out with friends and
family.
And now… I have been
back here for more than 2 months. A time which literally flew by. Why you ask?
Because I have my wonderful wife with me now! With her by my side, literally
everything is different. We have found a cool apartment which we also managed
to decorate. Our bookcase is full of great books waiting to be read. We cook for ourselves most of
the time and always find fulfilling and novel ways to spend our time together.
There are so many of those ‘little moments’ (sometimes not that little) that
make this life worth living that I lost count. The only thing missing from the picture is you guys in Hungary, Romania, other parts of Europe and the world... but that is not something we can change, at least not in the short run. I am just glad we are managing to keep in touch with y'all. Let's keep it that way.
Luckily, we
have a nice group of friends here as well with whom we can do cool stuff like making and eating
Gulyas (in Tibi’s backyard), going to the Zoo, playing a ferocious game of
Catan or The Halloween brain annihilation project. And finally, Alina herself
is really finding her way around, which includes volunteering for 3-4
organizations already. She has great plans for the future and so do I. And most
importantly, so do we. Together.
Stay tuned and happy,
folks. I know I am and will be.
